Parish Mission Group

Welcome to the dedicated hub for all St Elizabeth Mission Group business.

The Catholic parish exists not merely as a geographical boundary or a place of worship, but as a living, breathing community of faith—called together to worship God, grow in discipleship, and serve one another in love. In our current context, many parishes across England and beyond are being challenged to reimagine how they operate in light of pastoral needs, aging congregations, and the call to evangelisation.

In this spirit, we have recently created a new “Parish Mission Group”: a small, focused team of parishioners working directly alongside the Parish Priest to develop, articulate, and implement a shared pastoral vision for our parish.

The core purpose of the Parish Mission Group is to support the Parish Priest in identifying, prioritising, and animating the spiritual and pastoral dimensions of parish life. This includes everything that directly contributes to the mission of the Church: to proclaim the Gospel, form disciples, celebrate the sacraments, and build a community rooted in Christ.

We believe it’s important for parishioners to have easy access to the work we do on behalf of our parish and in the spirit of transparency and community engagement, this page serves as a source of information about the Mission Group’s activities.
