Each month we will highlight small but meaningful steps we can take in our homes,parish, and neighbourhood: choosing sustainable transport, sourcing food locally, reducing energy use, re-using and repairing rather than replacing, and deepening our sense of community and neighbourliness.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Living Simply is not about giving things up, but about living with purpose and joy \u2014 recognising that everything we have is a gift from God. As Pope Francis reminds us in <i>Laudato Si\u2019<\/i>, \u201cLiving our vocation to be protectors of God\u2019s handiwork is essential to a life of virtue.\u201d<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Everyone is invited to take part: individuals, families, and parish groups and our first set of \u201cLiving Simply\u201d are noted in a separate news item which will be added to as we journey through this year.
